Orange Sierra Leone’s recently released 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices, and positive social impact. The report details Orange Sierra Leone’s significant contributions to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic development, showcasing its dedication to making a difference in the lives of Sierra Leoneans.
CEO Sekou Amadou Bah emphasized the company’s mission to create positive societal change through responsible digital solutions, stating, “At Orange, our success is measured not just by financial performance but by the positive difference we make in society and the environment.”
Key Highlights of Orange Sierra Leone’s 2023 CSR Initiatives:
- Environmental Sustainability:
- 72% of sites powered by solar energy, contributing to the company’s goal of solarizing its operations.
- 3,000 trees planted at the Mortomeh Mudslide site.
- Social Responsibility:
- Food supplies donated to disaster victims.
- “Mi Farm Padi” initiative launched to support local farmers.
- Digital school kits donated to primary schools.
- Over 1,800 youths trained in digital skills, with a 23% job insertion rate.
- Three Women Digital Centers established, providing training for over 1,000 women.
- “TekGal” project launched in partnership with STEM Women to mentor young women in tech.
- Multi-screening facilities provided for pregnant women and children, linking 296 women to antenatal clinics, in partnership with ICAP and the Mama Pikin Foundation.
- Awareness campaigns launched for breast cancer and autism.

- Over 217 direct jobs created and 52,000 indirect employment opportunities supported.
- 1,809 youths trained at the Orange Digital Center.
