In a display of corporate social responsibility during the Lenten season, Orange Sierra Leone has distributed assorted food items to eight churches across Freetown, Port Loko, Lungi, and Bombali. This act of giving aims to support local communities and those less fortunate during this significant religious period.

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Department at Orange Sierra Leone, Edward Sesay, emphasized the importance of generosity during Lent, a time when Christians are engaged in spiritual reflection. He highlighted Orange’s commitment to religious tolerance, noting similar gestures extended to the Muslim community.

During the donation at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Syke Street, Freetown, Father Conteh expressed gratitude on behalf of the parish priest. He stated that the donations would significantly aid their pastoral work and enable them to assist other church members. Father Conteh praised Orange Sierra Leone for exemplifying the spirit of generosity.

The food items were warmly received by all eight churches: Mountain of the Lord’s Temple (Aberdeen, Freetown), Jordan WAM Church (Murray Town, Freetown), St. Anthony Catholic Church (Syke Street, Freetown), Our Lady of the Sea (Juba Hill, Freetown), St. Peters the Rock Parish (Mission Road Calabatown, Freetown), Deeper Life Bible Church (Kaningo, Freetown), St Joseph (Masoila, Lungi), and Wesleyan Church of SL (Rogbanneh Rd, Makeni).
