Orange Social Venture Prize Pitch Night Set to Unveil Sierra Leone’s Emerging Innovators and Tech Queens

Sierra Leoneans are getting ready for an inspiring evening of innovation and entrepreneurship as the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) pitch night takes centre stage this Friday at the prestigious New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown.

The OSVP is a renowned platform that celebrates and supports groundbreaking ideas with the potential to drive positive social and environmental change. This year’s pitch night will feature the top five grand prize finalists and three exceptional tech queen finalists, all vying for recognition and support to bring their innovative solutions to life.

These visionary entrepreneurs represent the future of technology and social entrepreneurship in the country. Their projects will tackle a wide range of challenges, from healthcare and education to agriculture, energy and environmental sustainability.  Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness the birth of these innovative solutions that have the power to shape a better tomorrow for Sierra Leone and beyond.

In recognition of their exceptional achievements, the victors of this notable event will receive substantial monetary rewards. In the general category, triumphant individuals will be awarded a cash prize of up to $10,000, while in the women’s category, winners will be presented with approximately $6,000. Additionally, these talented individuals will have the extraordinary opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking innovations on a global platform. By competing in the prestigious OSVP international competition, they will have the chance to further distinguish themselves and potentially secure an impressive prize of up to €20,000.

The pitch night promises to be an engaging and dynamic event, where finalists will present their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges, industry experts, and potential investors.
