Orange Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to providing superior telecommunications services to the people of Sierra Leone through substantial investments in network expansion, modernization, and optimization.

Alfie Barrie, the company’s public relations officer, said Orange Sierra Leone has invested over $50 million to upgrade its network infrastructure. A notable achievement includes the migration of more than 500 sites to 4G technology, including those in remote parts of the country.

Barrie highlighted the tireless efforts of the company’s dedicated technicians who persevered through adverse weather conditions to implement these upgrades, underscoring Orange’s dedication to ensuring nationwide connectivity.

Despite facing challenges during the network enhancement, such as service disruptions caused by external factors like internet interruptions, fiber optic damages, and power supply issues, Barrie proudly announced the successful transition of all Orange Sierra Leone sites to 4G technology. This advancement significantly boosts internet speeds and elevates the quality of voice and data services.

Additionally, Orange has allocated around $17 million towards energy efficiency initiatives to uphold uninterrupted service delivery.

“In a period when telecom companies are grappling with infrastructural constraints in underserved regions, Orange Sierra Leone is taking the lead in bridging the digital divide,” Barrie stated.

Amidst infrastructural limitations in underserved areas, Barrie positioned Orange Sierra Leone as a frontrunner in narrowing the digital gap. The company unveiled the activation of ten new solar-powered deep rural sites in locations like Sahn, Fanima, Tawuya, Pehala, Gbonkonka, Robaka, Mabang, Mamutha, Falla, and Futta, aiming to extend connectivity to remote communities, support small businesses, and foster economic development.

Addressing recent negative media coverage concerning the company’s leadership, Barrie dismissed these claims as unfounded and malicious, reiterating Orange Sierra Leone’s steadfast commitment to its core principles of care, responsiveness, and courage, with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, Barrie reinforced Orange Sierra Leone’s pledge to broaden network coverage, optimize energy utilization, and enhance connectivity for all Sierra Leoneans.

He said, “With these significant investments, we are well-equipped to meet the growing demand for top-notch and dependable telecommunications services nationwide.

Orange is here! Orange De ya!”
