In the Selenga chiefdom of Bo district, Sierra Leone, a loud and creaky bridge stands as a relic of the colonial era. This bridge serves as a vital link between the communities surrounding the Bo municipality, Selenga and neighboring chiefdoms. 

Its most unique characteristic is the loud noise it generates whenever vehicles or motorcycles traverse it.

Local residents believe that this distinctive noise served as an early warning system during the country’s civil war, alerting them to the approach of rebel forces.
