The Sierra Leone ICT Development Program has concluded its second edition, having successfully trained 7,000 students from over 100 secondary schools in eight districts across the country.
Launched in April 2024, the program aims to empower students and young graduates with essential digital and marketing skills for the 5th Industrial Revolution, aligning with the government’s goals of human capital development, job creation, and youth investment.
Implemented in partnership with Orange Sierra Leone, Huawei Technologies, the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) and UNICEF, the program’s second phase provided comprehensive web development and digital marketing training to students. Delivered by 50 trainers and five supervisors, the training culminated in an examination to assess participants’ knowledge and skills.
